Ode To Dad

Yes death
You are colour blind
You are health unbiased
You are wealth unconcerned
You have showed me your prowess
And taken my earthly father away
You made me pour sand on my own father
With my siblings, relatives and guests
Until the sight of his gold, brown and silver casket could not be seen
But you haven’t taken me
At least until now
So I have to focus on his short legacy the lessons he taught me
“Never be inferior to yourself,
“Be proud of who you are
And where you come “
“Make good choices in life”
Humility pays”
“Have a good heart always”
A few I can remember but if souls do move around as they say
Please teach me more good lessons
I promise you Dad
I will be great
I will go places
I will make it in life
People will honour me
People will hail me
People will seek my services
I promise you
I love you Dad
Bye Dad
